Dear Families and Visitors,

Welcome to Summerswood Primary School!

Together, we are building on our strengths to achieve the best possible outcomes for all children.

Our intent for the curriculum at Summerswood is to ensure that we are a caring school that inspires respectful and self-confident learners. We aim to ensure we have an ambitious and inclusive curriculum that brings the wider world to Summerswood. The staff and governors value all pupils equally and celebrate everyone’s diversity.

We place a high value on mutual trust and respect. We expect our children to work hard and take ownership of their learning and to demonstrate exemplary standards of behaviour.

Summerswood works in partnership with parents and carers as we face the challenge of meeting the developmental and learning needs of all children. We place a high value on the positive relationship we have with families, as this partnership is crucial to ensure all children are successful, both academically and socially. Our school is a place where children, parents and staff respect each other.

Across the year the curriculum is reviewed by the Governing Body and Senior Leadership team, to ensure we offer the best possible learning opportunities for every child.
