The Pupil Premium is funding provided by the government to help schools close the attainment gap for children who may face additional challenges. It supports pupils from low-income families, children who are or have been in care, and those from families with parents in the Armed Forces.
Children currently eligible for free school meals (FSM).
Children who have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as FSM 'Ever 6').

For primary schools, the current Pupil Premium funding is £1,320 per eligible pupil. This funding allows schools to provide targeted support, resources, and opportunities to ensure every child has the best chance to succeed.
