Intent Statement

To gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world while understanding their place in history. We will promote the children's curiosity about the past, develop their questioning minds and ask perceptive questions. They will have the ability to think critically to develop perspectives and judgements.

Year 2 loved learning about The Great Fire of London and Tudor Houses in their topic ‘Street Detectives’. They designed and made their very own in D.T!

Year 3 have enjoyed learning about the Stone Age and Iron Age as part of their topic 'Tribal Tales'. 

Year 5 have been learning about The Ancient Egyptians in their topic 'Pharaohs'. 

Year 6 have had fun learning about the Maya Civilisation during their topic 'Hola Mexico!'. They also learnt about the history of hot chocolate and enjoyed making and tasting their own!
